AVE's latest album release, Thought is Surrounded by a Halo is out now. The album features a newly commissioned song cycle by some of Australia's finest living composers: Anne Cawrse, Elena Kats-Chernin, Joseph Twist, Kevin Barker, Andrew O'Connor, Paul Stanhope, Perry Joyce, Stephen Leek, Thomas Green and Sally Whitwell.

The album is a collection of ten captivating compositions that bring Gwen Harwood's poetry to life through song. This project marks the second song cycle commissioned by the Australian Vocal Ensemble as they expand their repertoire of new Australian vocal works, celebrating the incredible talent of their artists; Katie Noonan, Fiona Campbell, Louis Hurley and Andrew O’Connor, and generating a new sound world to be discovered and shared.
